Terrific Thompson Tusker Too Tantalizingly Alliterative

Thompson Tusker Robusto Connecticut-Ecuador 5x50 $2.00

Construction: Quite good. Smooth, attractive Connecticut-Ecuador wrapper. Cigar was wrapped perfectly. Nice gentle aroma under the nose. 5

Lighting: Cut well, burned evenly and did not go out until I was ready to put it down for good. Developed a somewhat dirty grey ash that refused to drop off until it reached almost 2 inches! 5

Flavor: Can you say Macanudo? This cigar reminded me strongly of a similar sized Macanudo- smooth, mild herbs and leather. Very nice. Mild, but nice flavor. Maintained that same flavor to it’s nub. 4

Comments: Very good cigar. I was tempted to give it a 90, but maybe it was just too mild for my tastes. However, I will definitely add some of these to my humidor. Thompson has provided us with a very nice cigar here.

Overall: 89
Value Rating: 89-2=87
Recommendation: Well Recommended
